Dreaming

Last night I had another extremely vivid dream. I’ve been having dreams like this fairly often (once every couple weeks or a month) for a while now.

I was extremely pregnant and very much in labor. I was in what looked like a very high tech delivery room, the bed could go more than 10 feet in the air. I wasn’t in any pain, but was definately contracting and pushing slightly. I heard a nurse (?) who was monitoring me with something (I never actually saw the monitor) say 8 cm, 9, 10… I was squatting next to the bed, holding on the railing and conciously pushing. Someone put a mask on my face and gave me some sort of gas, I was upset by that, because I wasn’t in any pain. Moments later I had delivered the baby, he had strawberry blonde hair and was very big. I heard someone call out 12 pounds. His name was Ean and he immediately began nursing eagerly.

I woke up with my arms cradling my baby, the spelling and pronounciation of the name very, very clear in my mind.

I know I’m not pregnant. I know it would be a miracle if I did get pregnant right with the meds I’m on and the fact hubby, well…can’t, anymore.

I’m always interested in dreams, especially the vivid ones. I always want to think they mean something…That’s a nice way of saying that I probably force more meaning into them than there actually is, heh.

I’ve had several dreams of having babies, but never one where I was pregnant or delivering. Also, all my dream-babies are girls. Watch me go and have all boys now, heh.
