Horrors!
My hard drive failed. I’ve lost soo much stuff, I can’t even comprehend the loss right now. I lost all my client emails (some are backed up, but not recent stuff). Most of my raw files, pictures, documents, games, software, e-books, music. SOOOOOOOO, much stuff, it’s incredible.
Some stuff was backed up. Some wasn’t. Still don’t know (and won’t ever know), what caused my drive to decide to go belly up.
I must, I must, I must start backing up on a regular (every other freaking day) basis. No choice. And it’s time for a new system. I can’t help but wonder if the hard drive failure is due to inadaquate cooling, since the dipshit who owned the pc shop I bought this thing at, didn’t install enough fans. This is the 2nd hard drive to fail. Had better backups last time (easier… had warning AND only a 2 GB drive…not the 120 GBs I lost this time…)
Back that data up…sometimes you don’t get a warning.
