More projects…yay!
A trip to Far North yarn and suddenly I’ve got more projects… LOL
(I pulled my hamstring yesterday, so I’m resting/knitting today).
I bought some lovely Brown Sheep Company “Cotton Fleece” in Lime Light, Caribbean Sea and Cherry Moon to knit a Striped Sonnet. I was debating on the 3 colors when the gals at the shop were like, why not all three. So, I’m knitting a striped Sonnet, I think the vertical stripes will be quite fun.
The swatch dimensions (so I don’t forget are) 4 5/8 x 2 1/8, 20 stitches x 18 rows (4 st/ in 5 r/in), before washing. I’m going to wash on cold and tumble dry on ??? On size 6 Denise needles.
I think it looks really fun and I’m digging the bright colors this year, so it should be a good warm layer for my current wardrobe.
And the cotton fleece is soooo soft!
I also got some Lamb’s Pride Bulky in Lotus Pink for a stripe in my Buttonhole Bag, which I shall be starting soon…it’s also going to be used for something else, but I can’t tell ya what. It’s a surprise for someone, who *might* be reading.
I also got some input from the gals about how to finish up the Illussion Pillow for M. I finished the second piece for it last night. Crocheting the pieces together was suggessted for a “piped” edge. I like the sounds of that, so I shall be doing that while my swatch washes and dries. I still need to get a zipper for it and make the inside pillow part, but that’s coming. Maybe I’ll get it in the mail in time for April Fools… I don’t know though!
